Beskrivelse
Stuffing box gaskets are sealing materials used in rotating equipment, such as pumps and compressors, to prevent fluids or gases from escaping through the shaft seal. These gaskets consist of multiple layers of braided or twisted fibers, such as graphite, PTFE and aramid, that are twisted together and placed around the shaft. The pressure of the stuffing box on the shaft creates a seal that keeps the fluid or gas in. Stuffing box gaskets are available in a variety of materials and can be customized to meet the specific needs of the application.
